When a shopper clicks the Virtual Try-On button, the popup guides them through four stages: Upload, Preview, Generating, and Result.

  1. Upload: The shopper chooses a photo of themselves.
  2. Preview: They review the photo alongside the product.
  3. Generating: Icona creates the try-on image.
  4. Result: The shopper sees the finished image and available actions.

From the result screen, a shopper can:

  • Add the product to their cart after choosing a variant and quantity.
  • Download the image, saved as a file named icona-try-on-<timestamp>.png.
  • View the image at full size.
  • Mirror the image.
  • Upload a different photo and try again.

Icona keeps up to 20 previous try-ons in each browser. This lets shoppers return to earlier results during their visit.

Your settings may also show a discount offer or an email form during the flow.

When persistent progress bar is enabled, shoppers can close the popup while Icona generates the image. They can reopen it later to see the result.
